The Princess Royal was injured in a serious car crash on Wednesday evening. Her car was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle on the A30 near Andover in Hampshire.

The Princess was taken to hospital by air ambulance with head and facial injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery.

The other driver, a 75-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The Princess Royal's car was extensively damaged in the crash. The other vehicle was also badly damaged.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated by police.
