Iowa's ECHL Affiliate Announces New Leadership
Coralville, Iowa - The Iowa Heartlanders, the proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, have named Derek Damon as their new head coach and general manager.
Damon's Experience and Qualifications
Damon, 47, brings a wealth of experience to the Heartlanders organization. He most recently served as the head coach of the Adirondack Thunder for four seasons, where he led the team to their first-ever Kelly Cup Finals appearance in 2019.
Heartlanders' Expectations
The Heartlanders are eager to see what Damon can bring to the team under his leadership. President and General Manager Matt Brabham said, "Derek is a proven winner with a great hockey mind. We believe he can take our team to the next level and compete for championships."
Damon's Goals
